Supporting and developing the Voluntary, Community and Faith sector

The Grange Cafe

Run by The Grange Centre, supporting people with disabilities

The Grange Cafe is open three days a week at The Point, providing hot drinks, cakes, snacks and lunches to leaseholders of The Point and also to residents of nearby Lyons Court.

Lunches are freshly prepared each day by the people we support who have learnt their catering skills at the Grange Centre in Bookham. All aspects of food hygiene and food safety are taught at The Grange along with catering and cooking skills. The Grange Cafe at The Point provides a work experience placement for people in a true working cafe environment. The people we support are involved in all aspects of menu planning, shopping, preparation and serving.

Working in the cafe introduces the people we support to new experiences within the wider community. We strive for good practice, excellent customer service and above all we enjoy it!

Come and try our menu – we usually offer soup and a roll, toasted sandwiches and jacket potatoes with various fillings. We also serve hot and cold drinks and homemade cakes. We can cater for in-house meetings and are supported by The Grange who supply all our cakes.

The Grange is a registered charity for people with disabilities, a housing association and a social enterprise. We also run the ‘Inspirations’ gift shop opposite The Point.
